Graduation Livestream

Class of 2026 & Families,

You likely know that Commencement for the Grand Ledge High School Class of 2026 is Friday, June 5, at 7:00 p.m., at the Breslin Center on the campus of Michigan State University. You might not know that if you or others are unable to attend in person, you can still watch this special event.

The district is planning to livestream graduation on YouTube. People can visit https://www.youtube.com/@GLPScomets and select the Live tab. People may also visit the event's specific YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4kh422cP40.

We experimented with livestreaming during last year’s ceremony and encountered some audio issues, specifically low volume. We are making adjustments this year and continuing to refine the process. The livestream should be viewed as an added option rather than a guaranteed replacement for attending in person. But if you have family or friends who will not be at the Breslin Center, feel free to share this livestream information with them.

In conjunction with the livestream, GLPS will also use ILA by TranslateLive to provide real-time transcription and translation of the event audio. People at the Breslin Center or watching online can visit https://www.123ila.com/app/room/GLPScomets to view real-time text in their language of choice. As with any live transcription or translation tool, accuracy may vary, especially with background noise, names, applause, or other event sounds.

Finally, please remember the April 7 senior family letter includes important information about graduation at the Breslin Center, including:

  • Parking Information
  • Security & Accessibility Information
  • Breslin's Clear Bag Policy
  • Prohibited & Permitted Items

Congratulations!  We look forward to celebrating the Grand Ledge High School Class of 2026.
