MINI COMETS WRESTLING - Kindergarten & 1st Grade

Boy's in Kindergarten & 1st Grade.

Practices will be designed to introduce new wrestlers to basic fundamental skills and body awareness, with an emphasis on having fun each practice while learning.

INTERMEDIATE WRESTLING - 2nd-4th Grade

Boy's in 2nd - 4th Grade.

Practices will be designed to teach wrestlers basic fundamental skills and body awareness. There will be no more than 2 scrimmages scheduled with other wrestling clubs that will allow them a chance to test their skills and earn a medal. They will not be allowed to compete in weekend tournaments unless upgrading to the competitive group, additional fee would apply.

Tuesdays & Thursdays ~Dec. 2nd - March 26th (twice a week)

5:30 - 6:30 pm @ Beagle Middle School Wrestling Room

Enter through the cafeteria doors (to the right of the main entrance), walk straight to the gym doors and turn right towards the pool, go up to 2nd floor to find the wrestling room.

No Practice - December 23rd, 25th, 30th & January 1st

Parent Meeting:

Monday, November 24th @ 7pm - Beagle Cafeteria

COMPETITIVE WRESTLING ~ 5th-8th Grade

Boy's in 5th - 8th Grade.

Practices are designed to get wrestlers ready for competitions. This program focuses on exposing wrestlers to a variety of technique, drills and live wrestling. Wrestlers will have the option to attend weekend tournaments, preferably from the schedule provided by GL youth wrestling to ensure a GL coach is present.

Note for 7th & 8th Graders: If you plan to wrestle MYWAY or Pre-Season, you must register for both this program and the middle school team to be eligible.

Girl's in Kindergarten - 4th Grade.

Girls with any level of experience welcome. Practices will be designed to introduce wrestlers to basic fundamental skills and body awareness, with an emphasis on having fun each practice while learning. There will also be a focus on exposing wrestlers to a variety of technique, drills and live wrestling.
