Day of Awesomeness
Our Day of Awesomeness will be held on October 6th. The Day of Awesomeness celebrates our students but also YOU, our families who helped make the fundraiser an incredible success. The PTO is still recruiting a few Parent Volunteers to make the day run smoothly for our students. Here is the Sign Up. Please note: Parent volunteers need to have a background check completed. Please complete the Volunteer Registration form at this link.
Upcoming Safety Drill
By state law, we are required to have 3 lockdown drills over the course of the school year. To that end, we will have our first required lockdown drill this coming week. While teachers have spoken about this with students, please also have discussions at home so students can be prepared. During a lockdown drill, staff will be unable to answer the phones or answer the door.
Online Attendance Reporting
There are several ways to report an absence at Hayes. The fastest way is using the online portal at ps.glcomets.net. Once you have logged in, select “Attendance Monitor” from the left navigation menu. Then, click “Report New Attendance.” After you have entered the date, reason, and explanation, click Submit. For more detailed instructions, please click here. Also, you may continue to email HAAttendance@glcomets.net or call the attendance line at 517-925-5333. Please note: online attendance reporting is not available in the app; it is only available on the website.
