GLPS Families,
This has been quite a winter! We have had days off for snow, for cold, and now for ice. I apologize that the call was a little later than normal today. There was a thin layer of ice on the roads when we first started driving around 4:00 a.m., but it was not enough to close. However, by 5:00 a.m., the road conditions had deteriorated significantly, with a frozen mist steadily coming down. It became pretty clear that the roads were not safe for buses or student drivers, especially in the northern half of our district.
As I have said before, I know that snow days present a mix of joy for students and making arrangements at the last minute for families, so I appreciate you, your flexibility, and your understanding. Stay safe and warm today.
As always, I am #proudtobeacomet!
