From Our Principal

Halloween is just around the corner!

Classroom parties will be held on October 31st, with specific times shared by your child’s teacher, so keep an eye out for details. We will also have an all-school parade at 3:00 p.m. Due to timing, we won’t use the bus loop for the parade. Instead, it will take place on the blacktop behind the building. Parents are invited to stand on the grass facing the building as students walk the blacktop for everyone to see.

Please note that the parade will conclude just before school dismissal. We kindly ask that you plan to pick up your child at the usual dismissal time, rather than signing them out early after the parade.

"Halloween day" at school will follow a mostly typical schedule, with regular academics in the morning and afternoon. Please send your child’s costume to school in a way that allows them to easily put it on over their school clothes.

Fun Run:

This year’s Fun Run has been a huge success! As of this newsletter, we’ve raised an incredible $23,055, which is 92% of our goal! Thank you for your generous donations and continued support in helping us reach this milestone!

Today, Delta Center students had a fantastic time participating in the Fun Run! A big thank you to everyone who pledged to support our students, helped organize the event, and cheered them on as they ran through the fall-themed obstacle course to fun music. The students earned several rewards and are especially excited to spray their teachers with silly string! The funds raised from this event will go to our PTO and will help sponsor assemblies, field trips, and many other exciting activities. We are so grateful for our amazing PTO!

1st Place – Team Carter’s class raised $2,780

2nd Place – Team Riekse’s class raised $1,950

3rd Place – Team Seller’s class raised $1,830

4th Place – Team Simon’s class raised $1,630

5th Place – Team Fox’s class raised $1,410

If you haven’t had a chance yet and would like to contribute, we are accepting donations until Friday, October 18th. Donations can be made in cash and turned in to the front office. Thank you for your continued support!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
