From Our Principal

8:55 a.m. – Starting the Day off Right

Students are expected to be in their classrooms and ready to learn by 8:55 a.m. In just 17 days of school, we’ve already recorded 218 tardies. Our school day begins five minutes earlier than last year and we want to emphasize the importance of arriving on time. Getting to school early allows students to unpack and be ready for class, setting a positive tone for the day and ensuring they don't miss valuable learning time. Late arrivals disrupt everyone's learning environment. If your child arrives late and cannot be in class by 8:55, please accompany them to the office to sign them in properly; otherwise, they will receive an unexcused tardy. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a focused and uninterrupted learning environment.

Fun Run

The PTO-sponsored Fall Fun Run is scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2024. As the PTO's largest fundraiser, all proceeds will directly benefit the students of Delta Center. Please click this link to learn more about the Fun Run and how your child can participate: 2024-2025 Fun Run.

Hi Delta Center families!

My name is Mindi Stevens and I’m excited to be returning as your child’s school counselor. I am happy to report that Delta Center also has a social work intern from MSU named Miss Sarah that will be helping in our building this school year. We are here to support all the students here at Delta Center and their families.

Throughout the school year, we will be providing classroom lessons to all students focused on social and emotional skills as well as career awareness. We will also be teaching social skills in the form of small groups and providing individual check ins with students who need extra support.

If you have any questions or need anything, please let me know. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with your students!

Have a great weekend!
Mindi

No action is required of families, but Grand Ledge Public Schools (GLPS) is legally required to annually provide families with information about the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA).  FERPA information is on our website at GLcomets.net/FERPA, and PPRA information is on our website at GLcomets.net/PPRA

Stopfinder – GLPS Transportation Uses the Stopfinder App

If your family uses GLPS Transportation, please install the Stopfinder App.  This is another tool for families to get prompt communication about bus transportation events and issues.  The Stopfinder app also has customizable alerts (ETA alerts, geo alerts), but the real value is the increased communication that is possible between families and the GLPS Transportation team.
