Dear Beagle Middle School Families,
Here are some updates we wanted to share with you at this time:
NWEA Testing Completed: NWEA testing has been completed for the fall as of today. NWEA testing results take approximately 1-2 weeks to upload into the Parent Portal within School Net. Once we get confirmation from our technology department that scores are available, we will let parents know in the newsletter.
Grades in PowerSchool: While our current 8th-grade families are aware that we use a traditional grading scale here at Beagle unlike Hayes and our elementary buildings, we wanted to take this opportunity to share with our 7th-grade families that our teachers update progress on student assignments and assessments regularly in PowerSchool. We encourage parents and students to monitor Parent and Student Portal to view progress in courses. If you have questions or concerns regarding your student’s progress, please be sure to contact their specific teacher(s) directly for clarification and support. As we have discussed in previous newsletters, we require students to use their planners hour-by-hour; therefore, student planners are a great communication tool in the evening regarding what students are learning in the classroom.
PTO Meetings: The Hayes/Beagle PTO meetings will be hosted here at Beagle Middle School in our media center. Parents should enter through the cafeteria doors as they are open for athletic events. The media center is located in the first hallway to the left once in the cafeteria. Meetings are held from 6:30-7:30 pm. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, October 17th. We greatly appreciate parent support and participation at these meetings. In addition, please follow the Hayes & Beagle PTO Facebook page for more information and updates regarding upcoming events.

Looking Ahead:
- Wednesday and Thursday, October 4th and 5th–Bullying and Harassment presentations to all students by counseling staff.
- Friday, October 6th–Day of Awesomeness for qualifying students, 1:10-2:30 pm. Qualifying students will be notified on Thursday, October 5th in CNC class.
- Monday, October 16th–Half-day for students, 7:52-10:52
