Dear Beagle Middle School Families,
Here are some updates we wanted to share at this time:
Successful Lockdown Drill: On Wednesday, we had a successful lockdown drill, and our students did a great job. During lockdown drills or emergencies, a blue light will be flashing outside our main entrance. If you see this blue light flashing, please do not attempt to enter the building.
Feedback Appreciated: We thank our families that participated in this brief survey last week. We appreciate your support and feedback.
Ava’s Closet: Ava’s closet–located in the Student Services Office–is here to support students in need of toiletries, clothing, or snacks throughout the year. Please have your students stop down if they are ever in need of these essentials. Special thank you to our PTO for restocking the closet.
Trimester 1 Grades: Final grades for trimester one are due for staff submission on Tuesday, November 28th. Final trimester one grades should be viewable within Parent Portal by Wednesday, November 29th.
Trimester Two Begins After Thanksgiving Break: Trimester two begins on Monday, November 27th. Students that have trimester-long electives will rotate into their next elective course, and this information can be viewed within PowerSchool on both the student and parent platforms. As we have discussed in the past, we cannot honor elective course requests. Students placed in year-long electives will maintain their elective courses for the year.
Girls’ Basketball Parent Meeting: Wednesday, December 6th at 7 pm in the Beagle Cafe’ for all interested 7th and 8th grade girls wanting to play basketball.
PTO Meetings: The Hayes/Beagle PTO meetings will be hosted here at Beagle Middle School in our media center. Parents should enter through the cafeteria doors as they are open for athletic events. The media center is located in the first hallway to the left once in the cafeteria. Meetings are held from 6:30-7:30 pm. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 12th. We greatly appreciate parent support and participation at these meetings. In addition, please follow the Hayes & Beagle PTO Facebook page for more information and updates regarding upcoming events.
Art Show Save the Date: Mrs. Fredericks, Art Teacher at Beagle, will be hosting another Art and STEAM Showcase event on the evening of Thursday, May 16th from 6-7:30 on the second floor of Beagle. Happy Thanksgiving: In closing, we wanted to wish our families and students a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends.
