From Our Principal

A heartfelt thank you to all our Delta Center families who participated in the first two of our three fall conferences! We deeply value this opportunity to collaborate and discuss grade-level milestones and your child’s growth. Our teachers work hard to create positive, supportive classrooms where students feel safe to take risks and grow academically. Strong partnerships with families are key to this success, and your ongoing support makes all the difference. Our third and final conference will be held virtually on December 3rd. If you haven't yet scheduled your conference, please do so—we're aiming for 100% participation! Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

As a reminder, we will not be scoring the Essential Learning Scales at the end of each trimester. These scales outline end-of-year learning goals for each grade level and will be assessed at the end of the school year.

As a reminder, we are not scoring the Essential Learning Scales at the end of each trimester. These scales are intended to outline the end-of-year learning goals for each grade level and we will now score them at the end of the school year. During the conference, we discuss your child's strengths, areas for growth, and any concerns you may have. This meeting is a valuable opportunity to review your child's overall development and celebrate their progress. Click to view the Essential Learnings and Scales for your student's grade level.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing PTO and Riverview Church for their generous support in providing delicious meals for our teachers throughout this important conference week. Your thoughtfulness has made a significant impact, ensuring our staff feels appreciated and energized during these long days.

Beginning the first week of December, we will begin Delta Center's annual Twelve Days of Giving! This extraordinary event provides those in need with food and clothing. If you are able, please send in items to help benefit local, charitable organizations. Thank you for your consideration in helping to give back to our community! Details on days can be found here. Additionally, the Grand Ledge Shopping Tour is underway! Please consider donating a new, unwrapped toy to support students in need within our community. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already contributed!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your support!

Greetings and Salutations!

Here's hoping you have a great upcoming Thanksgiving break! As we return to school, we will be embracing the cold and the change of seasons by diving into our winter projects. We'll be covering new artists like Charley Harper, new techniques like paper collage, mixing up some color theory, and even adding some sparkle with glitter (I apologize in advance ).

Original Works Ordering is Still a Go!

Yep, you heard that right! If you forgot to order, want to order more, or your dear Aunt Sally finally got back to you on their request, then you're in luck  Our initial ordering window has ended but that doesn't mean we've closed shop! Orders can still be made for Original Works during our "Second Chance/Late" ordering window!

This window is open and runs through December 6th and 13th. For artwork that is already in our online Gallery, ordering is still the same using the website and your student's access code to locate and place orders. You can even share the links and codes with family and friends and they can place their own orders! The last day for online orders is December 13th. For artwork that was not scanned or for new artwork, please return the artwork and order form to me by December 6th to allow for shipping. Please note that delivery dates for late/additional orders are not guaranteed for specific arrival dates, but I will keep you updated as often as possible of their potential delivery in January.

Dates to Remember:

"SECOND CHANCE/LATE" DUE DATE (ONLINE): Friday, December 13th

"SECOND CHANCE/LATE" DUE DATE (MANUAL): Friday, December 6th

DELIVERY DATE (online/manual | initial deadline): Products already ordered are currently scheduled to arrive by Wednesday, December 11th. Stay tuned for more info regarding an evening pick up opportunity at the school!

DELIVERY DATE (“second chance” deadline): TBD. Current estimated arrival January.

BONUS: Do you have a DC alum who misses creating keepsake art? A future DC artist who wants to be a part of the fun? Let me know! I can provide paper, steps, and criteria to follow, and they too can participate as part of the manual ordering process  !

If you have any questions, feel free to email me: belldeann@glcomets.net. Don't forget to check out our Delta Center art room facebook page (Mrs. BellDean's DC Art Room) for important updates and amazing art!

As always, thank you for your continued support in our students and our school ! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Please see below our meeting schedule for this school year and a list of our members. We would love to have you join us. We have free childcare during the meetings!

What is a makerspace ? It is a place where students can build, create, innovate, and explore with tools and STEM based activities.  The goal is to be able to provide this learning experience to ALL of our students.Any questions please reach out to Brooke Ward.

We are looking for parent volunteers to help run
