Strategic Plan 

The Strategic Plan for Grand Ledge Public Schools has two belief statements that directly relate to diversity, equity, and inclusion:

  • "We believe in an inclusive learning environment where every person is valued."
  • "We believe in a safe, inclusive environment where students can explore their interests and learn the skills they need to thrive in their communities."

Beagle Middle School Initiatives

  • RISE Team – staff committee supports and facilitates different cultural celebrations for the whole school with a focus on the student team known as STRIVE
  • STRIVE team is a student group.  Students can attend a meeting roughly once per month to learn more information about different cultures based on the cultures being nationally/globally recognized each month. Students listen respectfully to presenters and then complete a Google-based activity.   



Holbrook Elementary School Initiatives

  • Holbrook staff are ensuring equitable instructional practices in all spaces of our learning community. 
  • Principal Bill Albrecht will be the advisor for a DEI student group.
