Strategic Plan
The Strategic Plan for Grand Ledge Public Schools has three belief statements that directly relate to diversity, equity, and inclusion:
- "We believe in an inclusive learning environment where every person is valued."
- "We believe in a safe, inclusive environment where students can explore their interests and learn the skills they need to thrive in their communities."
- "We believe it is the role of the school district to provide support and access for all students."

Beagle Middle School Initiatives

- RISE Team – staff committee supports and facilitates different cultural celebrations for the whole school with a focus on the student team known as STRIVE
- The STRIVE team is a student group that meets approximately once a month. During these meetings, students learn about different cultures recognized nationally and globally each month. They listen respectfully to presenters and then participate in a Google-based activity.
Holbrook Elementary School Initiatives

- Holbrook staff are ensuring equitable instructional practices in all spaces of our learning community

Delta Center Elementary School

- Delta Center Elementary School’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team is dedicated to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable environment for all students, staff, and families. The team:
- Promotes Cultural Awareness through events and programs that celebrate diverse perspectives.
- Advances Equity by identifying and addressing gaps in resources, opportunities, and support.
- Builds Inclusivity by developing policies, creating safe spaces, and fostering a sense of belonging for all.
- Supports Growth and Improvement through ongoing feedback and regular assessments of school culture.
The DEI team’s mission is to ensure that everyone feels valued and supported, creating a school community where differences are embraced and every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Sensory Friendly Night at Harris Nature Center
Occurs on 1/10, 4/11, 8/15, 11/7 from 5:30pm-7:30pm
Lansing Fiesta & Carnival 2025
June 19th-22nd at Adado Riverfront Park in Downtown Lansing
Abrams Planetarium: Sky Watchers of Africa
Recurring weekly every Friday and Saturday at 8pm and every Sunday at 4pm until Feb 23rd
