Schools of Choice for 2019-2020
Grand Ledge Public Schools has not begun to enroll students for the NEXT SCHOOL YEAR (2020-2021), and the Board of Education has not yet made a determination about Schools of Choice for the 2020-2021 school year. As of 4:00 p.m., August 15, 2019, Grand Ledge Public Schools has CLOSED Schools of Choice.
The district's participation in the Schools of Choice Program is determined by the Board of Education each year.
At its February 11, 2019 meeting, the Grand Ledge Public Schools Board of Education approved the district's participation in Section 105 and 105 (c) Schools of Choice for the 2019-2020 school year to include limited options for Kindergarten through 6th grade, unlimited options for grades 7 & 8, and limited options for grades 9 through 12.
Schools of Choice applications are completed online. The window to submit an application for participation in the Schools of Choice program is only open for a specified period of time, and those time frames were different based on whether applying for the limited options in K-6 and 9-12 or applying for the unlimited options for grades 7 & 8.
Schools of Choice is CLOSED for grades K-6 and 9-12. For grades K-6 and 9-12, online Schools of Choice applications had to be submitted between 8:00 a.m., April 11, 2019, and 4:00 p.m., May 10, 2019.
Schools of Choice is CLOSED for grades 7 & 8. For grades 7 & 8, online Schools of Choice applications had to be submitted between 8:00 a.m., April 11, 2019, and 4:00 p.m., August 15, 2019.
For Schools of Choice students, transportation to and from our district will be the responsibility of the parent.
