Eaton RESA CRT Early Middle College Program
The Capital Region Technical Early College (CRTEC) program is a public early college program for capable and self-motivated students operated as an extension of the Eaton RESA Career Preparation Center. It is available to any Eaton, Ingham, or Clinton county student that has applied during their sophomore year and has been accepted into the Career Preparation Center. It is a unique opportunity for students to explore and earn an associate's degree, credential or transferable credit in a Career and Technical Education pathway while in high school with all tuition, books, and associated fees covered through the RESA and school district's State Aid foundation grant.
Students will begin blending their high school course work with college level coursework in 11th grade, adding additional college courses in 12th and complete a full schedule of college coursework in a 13th year. With an emphasis on the completion of two years of college, students are afforded the opportunity to experience a 21st century education through innovative hands-on education and professional experiences.
This opportunity mandates a three-year commitment and students must be committed to a non-traditional high school schedule and understand the increased academic rigor required to perform successfully at the college level. For more information, contact Margo Hazelman: email@example.com
*Not all college credits transfer to all other colleges. For information on transferring college credit, explore the MACRAO website: https://www.macrao.org/Publications/MTA.asp and contact the admissions office of the college you are interested in transferring to.
