Internet Access

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program run by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices like a laptop or tablet. You are likely eligible if your household’s income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.  If your household is eligible, you could receive up to a $30/month discount on your internet service.  Learn more at AffordableConnectivity.gov.  Eligible households can enroll in the ACP through an approved provider or by visiting GetInternet.gov.

The intent of the Grand Ledge Public Schools Internet service offer is only for distance learning students who's family does not already have Internet service.  Some additional exceptions can be made for families who complete the Free/Reduced lunch application and qualify. The solution provided will be 1 T-Mobile Hotspot for the students within the household.  It is likely that this service will be slower than existing Internet services.

As this service is intended only for educational purposes, these Hotspots may be filtered by T-Mobile to comply with the Children's Internet Protection Act.  Furthermore, the number of connections to the Hotspot will be limited to approximately the number of students in the home.

Only families who need an Internet Hotspot for students should complete this form.
